Face to Face Fundraising

We use a range of fundraising methods to help protect children and ensure our vital services can continue.

Two of the most effective ways we do this are through face to face fundraising and telephone fundraising.

What will our fundraisers ask?

Our professionally trained fundraisers speak to people about supporting the NSPCC with a regular donation. This may be through a Direct Debit, a Recurring Card Payment, or by joining our Weekly Lottery. In some cases, fundraisers may also ask for a one off cash donation.

They will also raise awareness of our and make sure everyone knows how to reach us if they need support or are worried about a child.

Where will they fundraise?

Private sites - Our fundraisers work in or outside a variety of venues such as shopping centres, supermarkets, train stations, and other privately managed locations. These sites allow us to meet supporters in busy, accessible places.

Door to Door - Our fundraisers visit homes across the country, giving people the opportunity to learn about our services and support our work. Door to Door fundraising helps us reach new supporters we may not otherwise connect with.

Throughout England and Wales - Our face to face fundraising takes place across England and Wales, allowing us to reach communities in cities, towns, and rural areas.

Wherever you meet one of our fundraisers, they will always follow NSPCC standards and represent us professionally and respectfully. If you are ever unsure whether someone is genuinely fundraising for the NSPCC, you can contact our Supporter Care team who can help confirm their identity and answer any questions.

How to Recognise an NSPCC Fundraiser

All NSPCC fundraisers will:

  • Have appropriate identification for the activity they are carrying out.
  • Be wearing their agency logo or our NSPCC logo.
  • Carry a Letter of Authority confirming they are working on our behalf.
  • Wear NSPCC branded clothing or display NSPCC branded materials.

If you’re ever unsure, you can contact our Supporter Care team to confirm whether a fundraiser is genuine.

Our Fundraising Agency Partners

We work with a small number of carefully selected professional fundraising agencies who help us deliver our face to face fundraising campaigns.

These agencies meet strict quality, safeguarding, and compliance standards, and all fundraisers receive NSPCC approved training before speaking to the public.

As part of our ongoing compliance we have put extensive monitoring and controls in place. This helps us to continually check guidelines are being followed. We work closely with our fundraising partners to monitor compliance through mystery shopping, shadowing, and training to ensure best behaviour when representing us.

  • BriteVox
  • REAL Fundraising
  • The Fundraising Partnership
  • Trinity Group

Each agency operates a verification line, allowing supporters to confirm the identity of a fundraiser or check details of a sign up.

  • BriteVox – 0800 0882 009

  • The Fundraising Partnership –01371 6006XX (The 2 last numbers will change depending on which operator contacts you)

  • How to support vulnerable people appropriately

Ways to give

A Direct Debit is a secure way to give a regular monthly donation directly from your bank account. It allows us to plan ahead and ensure our services can continue supporting children all year round.

A recurring card payment is similar to a subscription. Instead of using your bank account, your regular donation is taken from your debit or credit card. You stay in full control and can update or cancel your payment at any time.

By joining our weekly lottery, supporters have the chance to win cash prizes while helping fund our work with children and families. It’s a fun and impactful way to support the NSPCC on a regular basis.

Every donation helps us protect children and support families across the UK. You can make a one off or regular donation.
