We look forward to welcoming you to the 30th Anniversary of The NSPCC Fine Wine Challenge

This years NSPCC's Fine Wine Challenge is taking place at Church House on Thursday 5 March 2026. This year is the 30th Anniversary, which makes it an extra special year.

Our annual Fine Wine Challenge is a fun, fast-paced, interactive wine-tasting quiz. The evening promises fine wine, great conversation, and a healthy dose of competition.

This is the perfect event to develop your appreciation of fine wines while entertaining your most valued clients, colleagues, and friends.

Show off your sommelier skills and uncork your wine knowledge. Guests are encouraged, in exchange for donations, to cheat their way to the challenge trophy!

In 2024, our Fine Wine Challenge event raised over £206,000 for Childline, this amount of funds could help pay for almost 5 days of the life changing NSPCC service.

About the event

"I've relished the rare opportunity to raid Charles Lea’s reserves for this annual NSPCC event. I cannot wait to taste this sensational trio with guests and I hope that all of the tickets sell out in record speed given the gravitas of the wines, the unique format, and the urgent need to raise funds for this worthy cause."

Why support the NSPCC's Fine Wine Challenge?

On average, a child contacts Childline every 45 seconds.

Our Childline service gives children and young people a voice when no one else is listening. Whatever problems or dangers they face, we give them somewhere to turn to for support when they need it.

Children don’t always know who to trust with their worries. Without a safe place to turn, they can put their trust in the wrong person or keep their fears to themselves. Home isn’t a safe place for every child, and many children feel trapped, lonely, and unsure of who to trust.

City Fine Wine in 2025 will fundraise for Childline, with an ambition to raise £220,000 to help children and young people, 365 days a year, when they have nowhere else to turn.

"I just wanted to say a big thank you to the counsellor I spoke to this morning. I don’t know what I would've done if you hadn't been there to talk to. You made me feel so much better about myself and gave me hope that maybe I'll make it. I'm so grateful for everything you've done. I was able to feel like my feelings are valid and that I have worth and a reason to live."
