Spotlight on: Matalan
Over 250,000 children and families supported by 20 years of partnership between Matalan and the NSPCC.
People across the organisation have played their part:
- Tackling epic fundraising challenges including marathons, treks, and skydives.
- Hosting hosted raffles and bake sales.
- Selling Pantosaurus products and kidswear for childhood day.
Matalan’s founder John Hargreaves led an appeal to raise funds for a purpose-built therapy centre in Liverpool. The centre opened in 2007 and now houses the Liverpool Childline base and NSPCC services which have supported over 1,825 children and adults.
Our partnership with Matalan has raised over £11 million and funded more than 225,000 counselling sessions for children and young people.
Our incredible partnership continues with colleagues working towards raising another £1 million to help keep children safe.
