Albert Heaney, NSPCC Trustee for Wales, said:

“I am deeply honoured to receive a CBE in the New Year honours list for services to Social Care.

For me this is very much a shared recognition of the invaluable work of all our social workers and social care professionals who provide care and support to children, young people and adults.”

"Albert has made a huge contribution in his first year as Trustee for Wales. His Social Care background combined with his approach of keeping children and young people as a focus in all he does makes him an invaluable Trustee."
