FAQs
Our NSPCC Big Skydive takes place on Saturday 28 September and Sunday 29 September 2024.
For this weekend only, we have secured special reserved spaces at airfields across the UK just for the NSPCC. You’ll have the opportunity to jump with other members of #TeamNSPCC.
If these dates don't work for you, explore our other charity skydiving options.
The registration fee is £35. We then ask that you raise at least £425 to support our vital work.
Your fundraising total could fund:
- Our Childline counsellors answering over 100 contacts from children
- Delivering our Speak Our Stay Safe programme to over 140 schoolchildren
- Art supplies for 85 children to use during therapy sessions
The options above are just a few examples of how your fundraising could make a difference to children. We will use your donation wherever it is needed most.
To jump The Big Skydive with #TeamNSPCC, you will need to complete our online registration form for the relevant event date. You can sign up for Saturday 28 September or Sunday 29 September.
Our challenge partner, Skyline, will be able to answer any event specific questions. This could include what to expect on the day of your jump and whether photography and filming opportunities are available.
You can contact Skyline by emailing info@skylineevents.co.uk
As much as we’d like to, we can’t control the weather! If poor weather conditions (wind and rain) are forecast in the days leading up to your jump, you may be contacted by your airfield to reschedule. Your airfield will determine whether the weather conditions will create an unsafe environment for your jump.
If you do not hear from your airfield, you must still turn up to your jump.
The minimum age requirement to take on The Big Skydive with #TeamNSPCC is 18. There is no upper age limit at most airfields and there have been people who have completed a skydive in their 90s before!!
However, please do make sure to complete any required medical forms and confirm with your doctor that they are happy for you to take part if you have any specific conditions.
All Airfields have a weight limit for parachuting – the majority are 15 stone. However, certain airfields have both higher and lower weight limits. During the booking process you will be able to see the maximum weight limit for your chosen airfield.
For any specific questions around this please do feel free to contact our challenge provider, Skyline, who will be able to help answer questions around this. You can contact Skyline by emailing info@skylineevents.co.uk.
If you can't find an answer to your question here, please email challenges@NSPCC.org.uk. We're here to support you from 9am–5pm, Monday to Friday.
