We hope you had fun taking part in fundraising for Childhood Day 2024! Thank you for playing your part and helping keep children safe from abuse.
"When my mummy told me that lots of people were helping collect money for children this Childhood Day it made me have a warm fuzzy feeling in my tummy. I think that everyone who’s collecting is a superhero!"
Leo, aged 6
Why should I volunteer?
- Make friends and have fun!
- Connect with your local community.
- Collect donations for the NSPCC so we can help keep more children safe.
Last year volunteers collected £30,000, enough to answer 6,000 calls to childline*
"Volunteering for Childhood Day is such a small commitment which works perfectly for me as I have a busy schedule. I didn’t realise how easy it would be, with such a big impact"
- Suzie, Childhood Day volunteer
What will I be doing?
In May & June we'll have Childhood Day collection points across the country (we had 100 in 2024). As a volunteer you'll spend a few hours working as part of a team:
- Collecting donations
- Chatting to people
- Playing a vital role in supporting our work to help protect children.
You’ll be provided with everything you need on the day:
A NSPCC t-shirt
A NSPCC bucket to collect donations
A card reader to collect card donations
More ways to take part
*£5 could pay for one of our practitioners to answer a call to the NSPCC helpline. Therefore, £30,000 could pay for 6,000 calls.
