Right now, a child like Maisie needs Childline to answer their call…because they are being abused, neglected or bullied.

The first call a child makes can be a life-changing call, and in so many cases we are the first people a child will reach out to. Your support could answer those calls, helping us be there for thousands of children.

Please give what you can today and make sure Childline is here to answer the next urgent call.

Since my stepdad came into the picture it started off with him doing simple things like flicking me on the temple of the head, but now it’s got a bit more serious.

He pushed me over once and I fell backwards and hit my head on the corner of the bed.

Mum has also threatened to strangle me and hit me so hard that I ‘won’t be able to sit down for a week'. I don’t have anyone I can speak to.

How your donations make an impact

Just £4 a month could help us answer an urgent call from one child, every month.

Childline counsellor on a call.

On average a child will contact Childline every 45 seconds.

In the past year, there were almost 200,000 Childline counselling sessions with children and young people.

There are lots of ways you can support our work if you aren't able to donate online.

Always here for children

Bullying, mental health, troubles at home, there are many reasons young people may need to contact Childline.

However, thanks to you, Childline is there to support children and young people when they need it most.

Our Childline counsellors are there for young people every day of the year. Whatever issue young people are going through, no matter how big or small, our counsellors are here to listen and help.

As well as online 1-2-1 counselling, children and young people can also speak to Childline counsellors by sending an email from their Locker or by calling 0800 1111. They can explore a range of other useful Childline tools and advice for all sorts of issues they may be dealing with too.

We've agreed to stick to a strict set of codes and a fundraising promise, which means we treat our supporters and donors with respect, fairness and honesty and we are always clear about how we raise money

Around 75p in every £1 we spend goes directly to helping children and young people. This includes working with children and families, our helplines, our Schools Service and child protection and awareness campaigns like PANTS. Read our latest Annual Report (PDF).
